Mangoes

We are fortunate that mangoes thrive in our tropical
Hawaiian climate. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the sweet exquisite
taste of the mango. Mango season starts in spring with blossoms
beginning to flower on trees and continues through summer with
fruit production. As the fruit ripens the skin turns to bright
red, orange, yellow, green, and purple. This is one of my favorite
subjects to paint because of the vibrant colors and dark green
leaves. It brings back childhood memories, when we picked the colorful
Hayden and Pirie mangoes and shared them with family and friends.
