The exotic beauty and fragrance found in Orchids
had it's beginnings in China. The word Lan (Chinese name for orchid)
date back to the days of Confucius. Orchid species number in the
25,000 and Hybrids five times that number.
With the tropical Hawaiian
humid climate we are able to successfully grow a variety
of orchids. On the cooler slopes of Haleakala and Kula on Maui
and The Big Island Volcano area, orchid growers are able to produce
some of the more sepectacular varieties that are my favorite,
such as the cymbidiums and Miltonias.
